Ayr is set for its first-ever cannabis café.
A community hub in the heart of the town is set to launch a range of products taken from cannabis plants.
Customers will be able to have a drop of CBD in their coffee, bubble teas and for those who get the munchies, cakes as well as other products including ‘gummy treats’.
The new concept, a first for Ayrshire, will be introduced at Tsukure Hub’s existing café next week.
Bringing a sense of Amsterdam to Ayr, the hub’s co-founder Adam Short has revealed to Ayrshire Live the café will feature a range of products, with some that even pets can sample.

Adam, 47, said: “This will be the first cannabis café in Ayr.
“It’s a project I’ve been working on for three years now.
“When we first opened the hub we wanted to create a cannabis café using CBD, at that point there were a few cafes popping up in England but Tsukure Hub became this thing that we just built up.
“We would have been the first café in Scotland, but we felt like now is the right time with such a high demand for CBD.”
CBD, or cannabidiol, is a legal component of the cannabis plant which accounts for up to 40 per cent of the plant’s extract.
The component which can be bought in oils, as a powder for baking or in food does not contain any psychoactive properties which is synonymous with the Class B version of cannabis.
Instead, Adam hopes the products will educate customers about the positives of CBD which have been claimed to have many health benefits.
Adam added: “We want to educate people on the benefits of CBD.
“We will have information on site, all our staff will be trained on what to recommend.
“We see this as being a wellbeing café, everything we do is based around well being, there are so many benefits to CBD and we want to share it with the community.”
