Missouri Health & Wellness, a medical cannabis company, has announced its Kirksville dispensary will open on March 1.
Its 215 East Charles Street location was one of four dispensaries approved in early 2019. The company also has five other dispensaries in the state, with the Kirksville store becoming the fourth to open.
This will be the first dispensary to open in Kirksville. Heya Wellness told the Daily Express it was planning to open around March 15. The other two approved dispensaries are in unknown statuses.
“This has been some time coming and we are excited to finally bring medical cannabis to northeast Missouri, Adair County and the surrounding areas,” said Randy Stambaugh, MH&W’s statewide manager, in a release. “It’s very rewarding when we’re able to help patients who are suffering.”
The Kirksville dispensary will have a variety of flower strains and edibles available at opening, along with more complete product lines as supply becomes more available. In a January interview with the Daily Express, Kathleen Beebe, the regional manager for Missouri Health & Wellness, said supply was the last barrier for opening up.
Customers will able to place pre-orders beginning at 2 p.m. on Feb. 28.
And as Beebe told the Daily Express, customer service is a high priority for the company.
“We have made it our mission to provide residents of the Show-Me state with the most insightful information and education about the health benefits of medical cannabis,” Beebe said
There is a patient guide on its website. Customers will get one-on-one attention from staff members at the dispensary. Patients seeking a Missouri cannabis medical card and information about their first visit can visit the website to register for a consultation with Midwest Cannabinoid Clinics (MCC) who has partnered with MH&W.
The Kirksville dispensary hours are Monday through Friday: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
